Cozy but not for petite

I'm 5'2" and thought these might be a nice high waisted pant since they come to below the belly button on the model, but these are beyond high on me! They go way past my natural waist and almost to my bra band! I assumed they'd be true to size, so I didn't think to ask about the inseam or the waist height, but they're definitely meant for someone far taller and longer waisted. They're beautifully made and so lovely, but sadly not the right fit for this petite gal.
